"AIREGIN", in Yokohama, 🇬🇧 in english. 🇫🇷 en francais, click ici, merci 🇯🇵 nihongo, kokode is a small jazz club in central Yokohama that was founded in 1969. It is still active, so this place has become fifty years old. Its owner, Minoru Umemoto lived in Germany for ten years. He is a well-known trumpet player who has played with many European musicians from the world of improvisation such as Peter Brotzmann, Peter Kowald, Joelle Léandre... His small "jazzclub" has become a popular meeting point for many European musicians and for Tetsu and me, the first stop on our tours since 2006. It is a jazz club which, considering the fact that we are in Japan, is not really small. However, when the whole audience is seated and the musicians and instruments are on stage, the space left for me to dance is very limited. But if there is one thing I have learned in Japan, it is to adapt to all the circumstances that may arise. So one evening I danced on this stage with Tetsu`s double bass sextet... Needless to say, six double basses take up a lot of space, and they also produce incredible energy. Dancing with such musical power behind my back was an unforgettable experience. Another little souvenir that was part of a great ritual. When after our trip from Tokyo, where we started our tour, we arrived at the Airegin in Yokohama. The greeting I was used to hearing when entering the club was "Guten Tag, Wie geht es dir"? which means in German "Hello, how are you? ». Minoru, the owner, spoke fluent German and was happy to practice it with me.
---------------------------- est un petit club de jazz dans le centre de Yokohama qui a été créé en 1969. Toujours actif, ce lieu est donc devenu cinquantenaire. Son propriétaire, Minoru Umemoto a vécu dix années en Allemagne. C`est un trompettiste connu qui a joué avec de nombreux musiciens européens du monde de l`improvisation tel Peter Brotzmann, Peter Kowald, Joelle Léandre.. C`est ainsi que son petit « jazzclub » est devenu un point de rendez-vous très apprécié par beaucoup de musiciens européens et pour Tetsu et moi, la première étape de nos tournées depuis 2006. C`est un club de Jazz qui, compte-tenu du fait que nous sommes au Japon, n`est pas vraiment petit. Par contre, lorsque tout le public est installé, et que musiciens et instruments sont installés sur la scène, l`espace qui me reste pour danser est des plus limité. Mais s`il est une chose que j`ai apprise au japon, c`est de m`adapter á toutes les circonstances qui peuvent se présenter. C`est ainsi qu`un soir, j`ai dansé sur cette scène avec le sextet de contrebasses de Tetsu.. Inutile de dire que six contrebasses, ça prend de la place, et ça produit aussi une incroyable énergie. Danser avec une telle puissance musicale dans mon dos a été une expérience inoubliable. Autre petit souvenir qui faisait partie d`un chouette rituel. Lorsque après notre voyage de Tokyo d`où nous partions pour commencer notre tournée, nous arrivions au Airegin á Yokohama. Les mots d`accueil que j`avais pris l`habitude d`entendre en entrant dans le club étaient « Guten Tag, Wie geht es dir «? » ce qui veut dire en allemand « Bonjour, comment vas-tu ? ». Minoru, le patron, parlait couramment l`allemand et il était content de pouvoir le pratiquer avec moi. https://airegin.yokohama 齋藤徹と踊る。 « Yokohama AIREGIN », in Yokohama "横浜エアジン" in 横浜 は、1969年に設立された横浜中心部の小さなジャズライブハウスです。まだまだ現役で、この場所は今では50歳になりました。（2019年現在） オーナーの梅本実さんは、10年間ドイツに住んでいました。ペーター·ブロッツマン、ペーター·コワルド、ジョエル·レアンドレなど、即興演奏の世界で多くのヨーロッパの音楽家と共演してきた著名なトランペット奏者でもあります。 彼の小さな "ジャズライブハウス “は、多くのヨーロッパのミュージシャンに人気のある出会いの場となり、テツと私にとっては2006年以来、ツアーの初日の会場となっています。 ここは、日本にいることを考えると、決して小さくないジャズライブハウスです。しかし、観客全員が着席し、ミュージシャンや楽器がステージへ進むと、自分が踊るために残されたスペースは非常に限られたものになります。しかし、日本で学んだことの一つあるとすれば、それはあらゆる状況に適応することだと思います。 ある夜、私はこのステージでテツのコントラバス六重奏で踊ったとき... 言うまでもなく、6本のコントラバスはかなりのスペースを占有しており、驚くほどのエネルギーを生み出していました。そんな音楽の力をバックに踊ったことは、忘れられない経験になりました。
もう一つ、いつも嬉しいギフトがありました。ツアーのスタート地点である東京からの車で移動後、横浜のエアジンに到着し、店へ入ると「Guten Tag, Wie geht es dir? ドイツ語で「こんにちは、お元気ですか？ ».オーナーの実さんは流暢なドイツ語で、嬉しそうに挨拶をしてくれるのでした。
